Great news for Manuel Janisson

Obama chooses Janisson! A few years ago, Manuel Janisson, one of our vineyard partners embarked on a joint venture with the renowned wine-maker Claude Thibaut. They both own a vineyard in the Monticello Appellation of Virginia. The sparkling Chardonnay they produce has received much praise in recent months and was chosen to be served at the first State dinner hosted by President Obama for the Indian Prime Minister on November 24th.

Manuel and Claude are aiming to produce a world renowned sparkling wine; now having had their product grace the table at the White House, it would seem they are well on their way.

The first Cuvee, Thibaut-Janisson Blanc de Chardonnay was released in November 2007. We live in hope that we will be able to make it available in the UK at some time in the future- watch this space!
