Manuel talks to Champagne Warehouse
Helen interviews Manuel Janisson about his champagnes and his thoughts about this years harvest.

H: Manuel thank you for taking the time to talk to me, I know you are really busy at the moment.
M: It’s not a problem and bravo Champagne Warehouse- you did a great job with the new website.
H: Thanks Manuel. Can you tell me what makes your champagnes special?
M: The balance between subtlety, intensity and complexity.
H: And what would you say to people trying your champagne for the first time?
M: I would say please take your time when tasting my champagnes as they are delicate and ‘not in your face’. I would ask people to find the subtle floral and mineral notes.
H: Manuel can you tell our potential customers out there why they should drink your champagne?
M: Because wine lovers who are looking for good value, great quality champagne, will not be disappointed!
H: What do you think makes a good champagne?
M: Champagne is an exercise in balance- a beautiful intensity, aromatic complexity, an elegant and spiritual wine.
H: What are your feelings about the 2009 harvest and its potential?
M: The grapes are clean, full flavoured with finesse. The tastings so far are promising.
……Next time Manuel talks about what inspires him, his favourite champagne and his plans for Christmas.
