Six Champagne Houses – Tasting pack

cw73

This wonderful mixed case is a fantastic way to sample the delights and different styles from six of  our Champagne Houses.

Make the most of ‘staying in being the new going out’ with our tasting box, or use it as a great way to entertain your friends. If you would like to send a gift with a difference, this would make a wonderful present.

Each tasting pack includes 6 bottles of champagne, a tasting guide to help you structure your evening and also notes about each of the champagnes. There is also a quiz included if you wish to challenge yourselves or your guests further!

With approximately 12 half glasses of champagne in a bottle, up to 12 of your nearest and dearest (yourselves included) could enjoy an evening of champagne tasting.

We suggest the following champagnes to give you a real breadth of taste:

Thierry Triolet an aperitif champagne with a  traditional blend of all 3 champagne grapes to get you started.
Roger Legros Extra Brut is another aperitif champagne which is 100% Chardonnay to give you some comparison between the grape blends.
Charmant Rosé a touch of pink! – this is predominantly Pinot based so will provide some contrast to the Roger Legros Brut. It is also a Premier Cru champagne
Jean Paul Morel Carte Noir (80% Pinot Noir & 20% Chardonnay). This champagne has been aged for at least four years in Jean Paul’s cellar. It therefore gives another dimension for comparison against a champagne aged for 15 months.
Tribaut Réservé this is another champagne that contains all three of the champagne grapes
Forget -Chemin Special Club Vintage 2004 This is a vintage champagne with grapes from the same harvest and adds another dimension by containing 50% Pinot  Meunier and 50% Chardonnay.

A customer who liked the idea of the tasting kit, approached us for champagne for a large group.

When faced with the prospect of talking to a knowledgeable and discerning group of 50 of our fellow members of the North Yorkshire Wine Society, my co-presenter and I turned to Champagne Warehouse for the supply of wines and tasting notes to go with them.

Our aim was to talk about Champagne the region and champagne the product, and Champagne Warehouse came up trumps. Their selection of wines was superb, giving a representation of different styles and grape varieties, and their comprehensive notes were admirable – basic enough for newcomers to some of the subleties of the wine without being patronising to those in the audience with more experience and knowledge.

It was an excellent concept to use Champagne Warehouse for both their wines and their know-how, and made it a first class experience enjoyed by all.
