The first ‘Be a Taster’ report

At Champagne Warehouse we want to give our customers the opportunity to taste some of our champagnes and new ones that we are considering adding to the range. At the end of the day it’s our customers thoughts that matter to us most and we hope the notes are interesting for everyone to read. That’s why we have set up  Be a Taster.

Mr Gunn from the Highlands, kindly agreed to taste and comment on a bottle of Forget-Chemin Carte Blanche.

Commenting on the bottle presentation Mr Gunn and his family thought is was fine, but that the writing format did not do justice to the quality of the champagne.  The colour of the champagne was pleasing to the eye and a good, fine stream of bubbles was noted to last well.

Mr Gunn and his family detected aromas of apples, oak leaves, vanilla and bread.

They reported a very pleasant taste, with moderate to strong intensity of bubbles and told us that the champagne left their mouths filled with a pleasant flavour that was long in its aftertaste. The Gunn family tasted flavours of apple, bread and some others which they couldn’t quite identify.

They gave the champagne an overall rating of 8 out 10.

The general consensus was that the Forget-Chemin Carte Blanche would be suitable as an aperitif and for any special occasion or celebration. Mr Gunn said:

It is certainly a champagne that we would consider purchasing for our next celebration and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to our friends….we believe it is a very good quality and reasonably priced champagne.
